Former Celtic striker Craig Bellamy has stated that Belgian outfit Anderlecht tried to lure Ange Postecoglou to the club just before he was named the Celtic manager last summer. Welshman talked about Anderlecht and Postecoglou while he was on the Central Club podcast recently. According to him, Anderlecht manager and Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany wanted the current Celtic boss to join up with him and his coaching staff at Anderlecht.
Welshman Bellamy spent the second half of the 2004/05 season at Celtic and he went on to become the u-21 manager at Parkhead before leaving to join ex-Manchester City teammate Kompany at Anderlecht.
