Celtic are said to be demanding £25m for Edouard despite the fact that he has one year left on his contract with the Scottish Premiership giants. Celtic are demanding a big sum due to the 40% sell-on clause that French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are entitled as part of the transfer that took the Frenchman from the club to Celtic.

Leicester City have made the decision to spend the money Celtic demanded on Zambian player Daka who was named the player of the season in Austria after a stellar season that saw him score 34 goals in all competitions.

On Edouard, Celtic have a decision to make with the player not keen to sign a new deal. The Scottish club will have to sell him or risk losing him for free next season. Arsenal are known admirers but there has been no bid for him from the Gunners.

Odsonne Edouard joined Celtic on loan from PSG in 2017 before the loan move was made permanent after impressing in Scotland during his loan spell. He has been a key player for the Scottish Premiership giants in the past few seasons. He has set his sights on a move away from the club this summer and it looked like he would get his wish until talks broke down between Celtic and Leicester City. It appears Leicester City have moved on from their pursuit of him with Daka who is one of the most in-form strikers on the European football scene after his exploits for Salzburg last season.
