Celtic FC has appointed a new head chief of recruitment

Brendan Rodgers is charging Celtic FC to their 6th successive Scottish Premiership title and might even be able to do it without losing a single league match as Celtic FC has only drawn 2 matches and won 27 of their 29 opening games of the season.

Celtic FC has been dominating the Scottish Premiership for the past few years and continues to do so. The Scottish club has recently experienced a change in their staff as Lee Congerton was appointed as their new head of recruitment.

Lee Congertonhas worked with a number of football clubs including: Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion, Hamburg and Chelsea. Congerton has served different roles in all of these clubs as the Welshman has had to work as a coach for the youth team of Chelsea, while in Hamburg he served as the Technical Director.

Celtic FC confirmed the addition of Lee Congerton as their new staff member as the Scottish club released a statement which stated:

‘’Lee will have responsibility for the management of the club’s player recruitment function and our scouting operation, including our international scouting network.” Continue reading “Celtic FC has appointed a new head chief of recruitment”

LUIZ SUAREZ: KOLO TOURE WILL DO WELL IN CELTIC

Former Liverpool forward Luiz Suarez has backed his former team mate Kolo Toure to become a success at his new club, Celtic FC.

The Barcelona striker says the Ivory Coast international is a great addition to the Celtic squad and believes the player will do well with the Scottish champions. Toure will add real value should the side qualify for the UEFA Champions League group stage this forthcoming season.

Celtic will play the second leg of the third round of qualifying games against Kazakhstan this week. They have a slight advantage after the 1-1 draw in the first leg thanks to a late goal from Leigh Griffiths. The club is set to feature the player when they play the Champions League qualifier against Astana.

On the other hand, Suarez will face his former manager Brendan Rodgers at the International Champions Club on Saturday. The game is set for the Aviva Stadium in Dublin but the Uruguay international says the former Arsenal and Manchester City player will be a big plus for Celtic FC.
“He knows what it is like to play in the big games in the big stadiums, and if Celtic can progress into the Champions League, he’s going to be very important player,” the player told reporters when asked about Toure.

Kenny Jackett is expecting to see much more from Wolverhampton

Wolverhampton collected their first 3 points of the season after defeating Blackburn Rovers but Kenny Jackett was not fully convinced by the performances of his players as the manager said that his team still has a lot of other areas where they need to improve on.

Kenny Jackett voiced his thoughts after the victory of Wolverhampton as he said: “To come away to Blackburn and get three points is great but we also feel there is more to come. We had some very good spells of possession and a threat up front’’

“But there were other times when balls into their front man we didn’t follow in and they were turning and shooting too easily with the shooting power they have got. We were disappointed with that and could have done better with those situations defensively’’

Jackett wants to base the playing style of his team around having sufficient possession as this allows the players enough time on the ball for them to play freely and ultimately score goals which is the eventual objective.

Wolverhampton Wanderers snatched the 7th spot of the English Championship League in the previous season but they are now one of the favorites of securing a top position and being promoted to the Premier League.  Kenny Jackett is well aware of all the expectations and pressure that he and his team have to cope with this time around but the English manager is certain that they will be able to live up to all the hype and deliver in the big stage.
