TRANSFER NEWS: LARSSON ON CELTIC RADAR

Swedish attacker Jordan Larsson has emerged as a transfer target for Scottish champions Celtic. The 25-year-old could move to Celtic during this summer’s transfer window thus following in the footsteps of his father, Henrik Larsson who attained legendary status at the Scottish Premiership outfit during his professional football career.

Larsson is a free agent at the moment after the Swedish international left Russian Premier League side Spartak Moscow at the end of his contract this summer. The attacker is considering his next career move and Celtic could be his next destination. Media outlet RB Sport reported that Celtic could be his most likely destination this summer. He would be a fantastic addition to the Celtic squad which won the Scottish Premiership title ahead of Old Firm rivals Rangers last season. Celtic boss Ange Postecoglouwon the aforementioned Scottish Premiership title during his debut season at the club on the back of his appointment last summer.

Swedish player Larsson is not the only one on the radar of Scottish champions Celtic. Sheffield United right-back George Baldock is also a transfer target for the club. Media outlet Football Insider recently reported that Celtic are trying to lure Baldock away from English Championship team.

Celtic target Baldock has been a key player for Sheffield United over the course of the last few years. He was part of the Blades team that secured promotion to the Premier League in the summer of 2019. Baldock was the first choice right-sided defender for Sheffield United as they finished in an impressive ninth position on their return to the Premier League. However, their second season back in the top flight ended in relegation.Baldock and Sheffield United tried to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking last season before they were stopped in the Championship playoffs.
