Deila hoping to keep Guidetti permenantly

John Guidetti is a 22 years old Swedish forward who is currently playing on a loan deal with Celtic FC. His main club is Manchester City but there is no space left for him to play as a regular player in the Premier League club and this is why City has opted to loan out Guidetti on 4 occasions to 4 different teams. Having him loaned out to different leagues and clubs from around the world will allow him to gain playing time and experience.

The loan deal that Guidetti currently has with Celtic expires at the end of the current season but the coach of the Scottish club, Ronny Deila is hoping that he can sign Guidetti on a permanent contract.

Guidetti has scored 5 goals in 7 matches with Celtic and has been making a number of impressive performances so far and now Ronny Deila has expressed his intentions in changing the loan deal into something more permanent.

“You have to understand that your success is not all down to you, it’s also the environment, the club that suits you and makes the best out of you’’

“So far, we have done that with John and done that together with him. I think he can develop a lot; he can reach a lot of his goals here. Here, he gets the trust he needs and he produces. He is enjoying every day. If we keep getting good results, more people will come to the stadium and he’ll play in bigger games.

“John Guidetti will be even better. We will do everything we can in our club to make him happy so he wants to stay.” Celtic’s Ronny Deila said.

If Ronny Deila can indeed convince Manchester City’s Manuel Pellegrini on releasing John Guidetti to Celtic, it would benefit all the parties involved. Guidetti’s chances of turning into a regular and consistent player are practically guaranteed if he moves to Celtic. Manchester City has a star studded team with world class players and it’s highly unlikely that Guidetti would have a secured spot in the squad anytime soon.

Manchester City can receive a cash injection that would help the squad in reinforcing some of the biggest weaknesses by signing new players and if a deal is agreed then Celtic could secure one of the most promising young figures in the world of football.
